Ultimate Nutrition Prostar 100% Whey Protein Review

Ultimate Nutrition Prostar 100% Whey Protein Review

There are plenty of protein supplements out there in the market today and sometimes deciding which one to buy becomes quite a challenge. I have been using Whey protein for quite a while now and have also tried other forms of protein powders like Casein protein and in my opinion, it doesn’t really matter as long as you are buying from a good reputed brand and the product is genuine. All the well known whey supplements company pretty much offer the same amount of protein in each serving, their quality of whey is good because of which they are well known and the difference sometimes just lies in what else is in the bag, for example like how much Glutamine or BCAA.

In the end, it becomes a question of which one worked for you, which one’s taste did you like and which one fit into your budget. Please note here that I am only referring to big well known brands here and I do not vouch for the quality of whey provided by “never heard of” companies. I recently bought a 5 lbs Ultimate Nutrition Prostar 100% Whey Protein Powder and this is a short review of how I liked the product after using it for a while now.

Nutrition: Each scoop of Ultimate Nutrition Prostar 100% Whey Protein contains 25 grams of protein which in my opinion is quite good. Total fat consumed for 120 calories per serving is 1 gram. It also contains 6 grams of Branched Chain Amino Acids which is good for post workout recovery.

Taste and Flavor: Ultimate Nutrition is a well reputed company and they have quit a few products like Whey protein, casein protein, Gainers and flex seed oil etc. While it may not be one of the top selling brands but in my opinion they are decently good enough. There whey protein comes in several flavors like Chocolate, Chocolate Cream, Cookies ‘n Cream etc. The one I bought was Chocolate Cream and I must say that I really liked the taste. I haven’t yet tried the other flavors so cannot really comment on those. It did taste a little sweeter than other brands that I have used but not so much that I would complain about it. I do not mix it with Milk but use it with plain water so that added bit of sweet actually worked for me.

Price: Price is quite reasonable. I bought the 5 lbs pack for a little over Rs. 4000 which is it at par with other brands. Universal Whey will cost you about the same, ON and BSN would cost over 6.

Servings: I was really impressed by the amount of servings in the container. The 5 lbs pack (5.28 to be precise) has 80 servings in it which if not a lot then at least a little extra than other brands. A universal 5 lbs pack contains 75 servings, BSN would only give you about 45 servings, Muscletech Phase 8 would give 54 servings (with slightly more protein per serving), ON comes with 77 servings (but their price is way too high comparatively) with almost equal amount of protein.

Mixing Ability: I have had no issues mixing it with both water and milk. Couple of shakes and it mixes pretty well. I did not find any lumps remaining at the bottom of the shaker even though I usually take my shaker to the gym and drink in between and immediately after workout.

This is my first time of using Ultimate Nutrition Prostar and from the looks of it right now, I will definitely be ordering it again. This is a good whey protein that will give you the value for your money as long as you are working hard in the gym. Consume 1 gram of protein for every pound of your body weight but do not completely rely on whey powder for your protein intake. Consume milk, eggs and other forms of protein as well. I am taking about 3 scoops each day of Ultimate Nutrition Prostar whey that makes up 75 grams of my protein intake. For the rest, I am depending on chicken, eggs and milk, soy and Casein protein. Use this product, hit it hard in the gym, sweat and you are bound to see the results.

You can buy this product online as well if you are not able to find a reliable seller in the market. I bought it from Amazon India. As a matter of fact I did see it in a couple of supplement shops but the prices was a little less on Amazon so I ordered it from there. Take a look at the link below to review the product on Amazon.

Hi sir.
I Ordered Ultimate Nutrition Prostar 100% Whey from Amazon (Cloudtail India).
The Product has been imported by Muscle House India.
There are 5 pin holes (puncture holes) on the inside packaging seal of the product. Is this normal? Is it a genuine product ?

it’s absolutely original. Original ultimate nutrition will be imported to india by KAR enterprises. Once the seal is open, there will be 5 tiny holes on the inner side of the lid as well for freshness.

Hey guys! Be careful! This company didn’t do anything about situation where I found metal kernel in their protein powder except checking their products and saying “it shouldn’t be this foreign material there “
And nothing…
It could threaten to your health!!! Be careful!!!
Check what you buy!!!

Sir, can you help me in identifying if the product I received is real or fake?
I purchased it from Cloudtail India Amazon.com. It has the sticker of bright commodities. I checked bright commodities website and they claim to import only BSN and ON supplements not Ultimate Nutrition.
Most reviews say it should be imported by KAR enterprises or paradise.

Hi Kushal – I am sorry but I have never bought from Healthkart. I have only purchased from Amazon and have always received genuine products. Have never bought from Healthkart so cannot really comment on whether their shipments are genuine or not.
