I recently purchased a Philips SBCMD110/01 Microphone and here is a short review of how I found the product. Before I bought it, I did a little research and found mixed reviews, some people claiming it to be awesome and some people calling it be disappointing. My opinion would be of somewhere in between, it is neither too good and nor too bad. It is just a simple microphone and that is pretty much about it. It Works just like any other normal microphone. The only difference is that it gives you a nice stage feel which is great for karaoke. PC recording is decent enough.

The description on the Flipkart site would make it sound like it is the last mic you will ever need. Just buy this and sing your heart out but that is of course not the case. As I mentioned above, this is a very simple mic which will serve the purpose if you just need to plug it into your computer as an input device, use for general voice chat sometimes or maybe record over a karaoke track in audacity or some other software just for fun. I happen to fall in the amateur singer category. I am not a terrible singer, not a good one either and just sometimes hum along for fun. The worst part about this mic is that the base is just missing completely. I always have to end up adding bass to my voice after recording or else I just sound like a dying cat, LOL.
The best part about this mic is that it is terribly cheap, way cheaper than a good professional singing microphone. If you are someone like me, who just sometimes wants to sing once in a while and then forget all about it for weeks altogether, than definitely go for this mic. At least that way you would know if you passion to sing is just a passing thing or is it going to stick. If it continues, then by all means by a better mic. If you are looking for a good singing product, then this product is not for you.
If you are however looking for a good mic to plug in to your computer as a sound input, then too this is a good product within budget, definitely go for it.
One thing I would like to add in the end though, you really need to boost up the microphone DB to be able to hear yourself. In that field too this mic kinda sucks. Here is how you do it. Connect it to microphone jack in computer, press ON switch of the mic, speak something if sound doesn’t came out of speakers, then go to microphone setting and boost the microphone level to maximum and save the settings.
