I quit smoking about a year ago; went cold turkey and haven’t had a single drag since then. At the time I quit smoking, I was 2 packs a day guy and all those cigarettes did some noticeable damage to my teeth. So bad it got that I actually visited a dentist to get my teeth cleaned. My dentist advised me against cleaning after check up (for medical reasons) and since then I have tried several other methods to remove the black nicotine stains off my teeth; of which Cedel Smokers Toothpaste was one. I have used it for last few months and below is a short review on how I found the results to be.
Let me first mention that I came across this product quite by chance. I was in fact using a Colgate whitening toothpaste at that time. I was getting some results from Colgate as well but a bit slower than I expected. Then one day I went shopping and noticed Cedel Smokers Toothpaste in one of the racks. The name was new to me but I decided to give it a try nonetheless.

Cedel Smokers Toothpaste
Cedel as I learned later is an Australian Brand. The company actually promotes itself for someone who is an active smoker; as a prevention rather than a cure. When I opened the packet, there was a pamphlet inside and the entire description read about how to use the toothpaste after smoking so to prevent your teeth from going black. So my first thoughts were of an immediate disappointment because I wasn’t smoking anymore and wanted something that can help remove the stains. From an Indian market standard, the toothpaste is a bit on the expensive side too so even that pinched a little bit.
But since I already bought Cedel and was out of toothpaste anyways so decided to use it nonetheless. It has been a couple of months now and even though the progress is slow, I must admit that there is some significant reduction in the nicotine stains on my teeth. Even my friends have pointed out the same to me. I am using it like a normal toothpaste; brushing twice a day, before bed and upon waking up. It is plain white toothpaste; not blue or red and doesn’t contain sparkles or polluting nano-plastics. It tastes great and leaves mouth feeling fresh and clean.
Final Verdict
The only thing that pinches is the price tag on it. In Indian market, it is way costlier than other brand toothpastes like Colgate which can give you about the same results if used over a period of time. If you do not mind the price tag, then go for Cedel Smokers Toothpaste. Do not expect a miracle though. It will help reduce the nicotine stains but won’t give you shining white teeth in a couple months. Since I am not smoking anymore, I can’t tell you of its effect on active smokers. I hope the review above was of help. If you have used Cedel and have a feedback to share, I welcome you to do so in comments section below.
