My reason behind that is because buying clothes online sound a little hassle free to me , not that high a cost, you just need to check the quality of the material and that it is per your liking. I have used stationery bikes for quite some time now and I usually keep changing the bike after a few months. It is just to spice my work out a little, get a new bike, feel like sitting and pedaling it every day, doesn’t let it get monotonous, I know it sounds a little silly but I do it. When I buy a new bike I usually go to a shop, ensure that the bike is comfortable enough to sit and work out for longer duration and that I like it before I buy it. This one instance however I made the mistake of ordering my bike online, because of a lesser price I mentioned above. Only if I had known the hassle that I was getting myself into, I never would have fallen for the lower price. When I placed my order, I was told that the equipment will be delivered at doorstep within 7 working days which sounded reasonable enough for me. I placed my order and waited for the bike to arrive. 7 working days gone and there is no delivery yet. I waited for a couple of days more but there was nothing at my doorstep still. Usually at some other popular sites, when you place an order, they will send you a confirmation on your mobile and keep you posted about the status of your order through regular messages but this was not the case with Infibeam.Com. There was no message at all, neither at the time of placing the order nor after. After 10 working days have passed by and the order was still showing in transit, I decided to email Infibeam.
As expected, I received a standard “we apologize for inconvenience” reply along with an assurance that they are checking with the courier company and will get back to me which they never did. After a few days, I emailed them again and was told that the order is still in transit, was delayed due to unforeseen events and will be delivered ASAP. Another week goes by and I emailed them again. This time however there was no reply on my email. This continued for another week and frustrated, I decided to call them. Imagine my surprise, when I received the same standard reply that I received on email 10 days ago and they asked me for another week.
Another week goes by and nothing. By now, over a month had passed since I placed my order and I had absolutely no idea where my bike was. When I did not receive a satisfactory answer from Infibeam, I dug up the number of the courier company which I would like to add wasn’t a well-known or one of those big courier companies that most of the online portals use. This was some small random courier company that had no online portal and no consumer service number as well. When I called on the number I found online, the call landed in an office.
After about 15 minutes of getting transferred from one person to another, I finally got someone who agreed to find out the order status using the tracking number. I was in for another surprise here when he told me that the bike was sitting at one of their warehouses and I will have to come pick it up myself. I told him that it was supposed to be a home delivery to which he replied that I will have to take this up with Infibeam and Courier Company will not be able to help me with it. By now I was already so frustrated that the last thing I wanted was to contact Infibeam so I just took my car out, went to the address that the courier company gave me and picked up the bike myself.
I am pretty sure that anyone reading this would be able to understand my frustration and regret about ever buying from this website. My advice to everyone would be that you stay away from Infibeam. Do not make the mistake of buying from them, especially if it is a high priced product.. There are plenty of other websites, try them but avoid Infibeam.
