Quitting to smoke was my resolution this year which I in fact did successfully; but in the process, ended up gaining abut 20 kilograms of weight in a matter of 4 months. And once I was over cigarettes, next 4 months of my year were spent trying to drop all the additional weight. A lot of cardio and endless hours of jogging outdoors were involved; for which I decided to buy a new pair of shoes from Puma; and that actually proved to be a complete waste of money. It is not even 6 months since I bought the shoes; and trust me, I am relying on Fevikwik to extend their life for as long as I can. Below is a short Puma running shoes review explaining why I wouldn’t recommend these to anyone.
Let me first explain how I was using these shoes. My primary goal as I mentioned above was to run outdoors. In an effort to give up smoking, I replaced my habit with eating all the time which resulted in the sudden weight gain. I almost touch 90 kilograms when I shifted my focus towards losing weight.
Puma Running Shoes Review
My cardio routine involved walking / jogging / running close to 15 kilometers everyday in initial days. None of this was inside a gym; and I mostly either ran on the road in early morning hours or went to a park. My old shoes lasted this exhaustive route for a couple of months and gave in. By that time I had already lost about 10 kilograms; and decided to buy a new pair to continue my running regime.
After a bit of a research, I narrowed down on Puma. This was going to be my first pair of Puma shoes ever actually. Considering the big name that Puma is, I was really expecting comfortable good quality shoes and the company disappointed in both the aspects. The only good part was that the shoes were of very light weight which helped. Apart from this, there really wasn’t any pros to the pair.
I was using the shoes to jog about 10 kilometers everyday and it was only 2 months that they could last. It really started to come off from all sides. So badly that for last few months, I keep Fevikwik handy at home to glue the shoes back in place. They still got some life left in them but I am sure that they aren’t gonna last more than just 2 more months.
Final Verdict
In the end, Puma running shoes is the last brand that I would recommend to anyone. Puma maybe a good company and their shoes may be good for daily normal use but if you are planning to run around a lot, then do not buy Puma and look elsewhere. I hope the review above was of help.
