Vargis bhai, me and my wife is Planning Manali Leh trip by own Maruti Swift dzire ZDI AMT car around 22-25 September, and return via Srinagar route as we wish to complete the circuit, if we do opposite(means Srinagar-Leh-Manali) then afraid that we could miss Leh-Manali if road closes.
We Plan Night stay at Keylong/Zispa/ and start towards Leh early around 3-4 AM in the Morning so that we can take the time in route.

Our trip in September would have been a lot harder to organise without the information you have published on the Kashmir- Ladakh area.
We will be coming from Srinagar and will leave Leh, after a trip to Nubra Valley, to go to Manali. We plan to take 3 days for this trip but we have had trouble finding places to stay for this Itinerary. We have booked a camping type in Sarchu for night one and a hotel in Keylong for second. My wife is not so happy with night one as it’s in a tent. I can change both bookings still. We are travelling mid September. Do you have any suggestions?
Hi Bob – Thank you for taking the time to drop a note. For three nights, there is really no other option. You will have to stay in a tent at either Sarchu or Pang. Those tents are comfortable enough though and you should not face any problem as such.

October is a little late for the trip, it usually starts to snow by then. If possible, try and plan sometime in September.
