The trip happened in second week of January, while there was snow all around. This was taken at the hotel and I absolutely loved the way snow had settled over these benches. See how neat it looks. class=\"wp-caption-text\">Winter in Spiti Valley<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As I mentioned, this trip happened in the month of January but if you too want to plan a visit to Spiti, I would suggest that do it either in Feb or March. January sees a lot of heavy snowfall throughout the region and chances of getting stranded or getting stuck at one of the villages are high in case the road closes. Accommodation too in Spiti in winters is severely limited so you must also make your stay arrangements in advance. The water is completely frozen all around, even in taps so there is no running water anywhere. Another thing that you must keep in mind is that a winter trip to Spiti is one sided, meaning that you will travel from Shimla until Kaza and will have to return the same way.
