I originally planned to buy a Thar last year in April but then ended up buying a house instead in Delhi which kind of drained all my savings. Plan to buy a Thar was postponed and it was not until now, after more than a year, that I was finally able to fulfill my dream. Booking has been done, payment made, loan process completed and now all that is left is to take the delivery of the vehicle which will happen today. It is not just a car or just a jeep. It is a style statement, an acquired taste which only a few can live with. True that is is indeed a compromise on comfort and as many say, not really a city car, but what you lose in terms of comfort, Thar will give you back in terms of style and power. Take it anywhere, drive any way you want and you can be sure that you will not have to worry about it much.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Update: I have now taken it up on the hills on several trips and must admit that I am quite amazed by its power. It is though indeed a fact that what you drive out of the showroom is just a powerful engine and a jeep. It of course needs some work, some more money spent to make it even more stylish and more than that,\u00a0 a bit more comfortable. There are several Mahindra Thar accessories available in the market today and you can easily find a place where you can get it modified.
