Nothing too serious but rather something on the lighter side; a bit of a comedy with a tinge of mystery in it. Limitless and Lucifer were two shows that I kind of really liked. After I finished watching Lucifer, I searched for some other shows than ran on the similar lines; and both Google and Netflix suggested The Good Cop. I gave it a try, binge watched the entire first season and must admit that I was quite pleased by it. There is nothing award winning or &#8220;absolutely great&#8221; about this series; but if you are in for a cop show that can keep you interested for its entire length with a few laughs in between, then The Good Cop will be a good bet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Good Cop is an American television comedy-drama murder-mystery created by Andy Breckman. The first season consists of ten episodes and premiered on <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.netflix.com\/browse\">Netflix<\/a><\/strong> in September 2018. The program is based on an Israeli show of the same name created by Erez and Tomer Aviram and produced by Yoav Gross. Unfortunately though, Netflix canceled the series after one season which kind of was a bit disappointing since I actually liked it and feel that it was worthy of getting continued.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/vargiskhan.com\/log\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/the-good-cop-review.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-14847 size-full\" title=\"the good cop\" src=\"http:\/\/vargiskhan.com\/log\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/the-good-cop-review.jpg\" alt=\"the good cop\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/vargiskhan.com\/log\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/the-good-cop-review.jpg 800w, https:\/\/vargiskhan.com\/log\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/the-good-cop-review-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/vargiskhan.com\/log\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/the-good-cop-review-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/vargiskhan.com\/log\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/the-good-cop-review-585x329.jpg 585w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Good Cop Review<\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The good cop is a story of a father and son. Both of them are cops and living under the same roof. The father in fact is an ex-cop who is as corrupt as one can be; and is being investigated for it. The son on the other hand is a righteous person who is an exact opposite of his father. He is in honest man who believes in good cop work and will never do anything wrong. How they get along together, solve crimes and make you laugh is what the story is all about.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">So why do I like it so much? Mostly because of the clever mysteries and light humor really. It shows a great father-son relationship, the subtle humor and the co-workers&#8217; interactions. There is no gore, sex, nudity or foul language and you can watch it with your family even. This in my opinion is a nice change considering that almost everything these days is based on violence and nudity. The Good Cop on the other hand is a perfect balance of easy peasy and quick wit. It has great acting, is light-hearted and entertaining. Murder mysteries and crimes are no Sherlock Holmes work but enough to keep you guessing and engaged.<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Conclusion<\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">My final word is that The Good Cop is indeed a great show. I am not sure why Netflix cancelled but I do hope they will change their mind and renew it in future. If you haven&#8217;t seen the show yet then give it a try. As I said, this is no Oscar winning material but at the same time, will also not let you get bored or leave you disappointed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have been watching a few cop shows recently.
