I recently returned from a trip to Kashmir 2 days ago and wanted to share a few Yusmarg pictures. It is a silent, sleepy yet stunningly beautiful town in Badgam district of Kashmir. A decision to visit Yusmarg was actually made while we were on the trip. Our original plan was to go to Pahalgam but at the last minute, we changed it and decided to head towards Yusmarg instead. I am not saying that Pahalgam is not scenic enough because it certainly is but Yusmarg too did not disappoint at all.<\/p>\n

Yusmarg Pictures<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Just before the trip I bought a new Nikon D7200 and the shots were taken by it. I always shoot raw and some post-editing of images was done in Adobe Lightroom.<\/p>\n

The first ones are actually shots of Doodh Ganga river, the most visited spot in Yusmarg.<\/p>\n

I saw this horse standing alone on top of a hill. To be honest, I just clicked the shot as I was walking by without thinking much about it. But the image actually turned out to be a good one.<\/p>\n

I am not sure if this was a lake really or a Dam but it is a beautiful spot right next to the road as you approach Yusmarg. It is actually a good spot to sit down for a while and enjoy the scenic beauty around you.<\/p>\n

There is fish as well in this lake if you want to try your hand at fishing.<\/p>\n

And the beautiful dense forest all around.<\/p>\n

And last but not the least, this one is really my favorite of all the Yusmarg Pictures I shot that day.<\/p>\n

Conclusion<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

The pictures above really do not do justice to the actual beauty of the place. It is highly scenic, not at all crowded, and a must-visit destination in Kashmir.<\/p>\n
