In this article, I will provide information on various choices of accommodation in Nubra Valley along with names of some good hotels or guesthouses with their contact information. Along with Pangong Tso, Nubra Valley is one of the most visited tourist destinations in Ladakh.\u00a0 It is a well-populated region and finding a place to stay within any budget should not be a problem.<\/p>\n

Almost every village in Nubra Valley has accommodation facilities, either in the form of hotels or guest houses. Another good option is a paying guest which many people choose to opt for.\u00a0 Depending on your itinerary and preference, you can opt to stay at any of the villages here and it will be a rewarding experience.<\/p>\n

Mentioned below are a few tips and suggestions that you should keep in mind while deciding on your choice of accommodation in Nubra Valley. Later in the article, I will mention the names and contact details of some of the recommended places to stay.<\/p>\n

Best Place to Stay in Nubra Valley<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Which is the best place to stay in Nubra Valley is really a difficult question to answer. The entire valley is a beauty in itself and every town has its own highlights.<\/p>\n

Hunder has its sand dunes and camel safari while Panamik has its hot water springs. It is also closer to Yarab Tso if you want to trek to the lake. Diskit becomes the center of Nubra Valley during the tourist season because of its monastery and a large number of hotels and guest houses.<\/p>\n

Warshi<\/a><\/strong> is the village on the border on the Panamik side that a civilian can drive to. On the Diskit side, Turtuk happens to be the last village and offers an entirely different culture than the rest of the valley.<\/p>\n

So as you can see, every village has its own charm. Where you choose to stay just becomes a question of your own preference.\u00a0 In the end, though, you must explore the entire valley and see all that it has to offer.<\/p>\n

If you are planning to spend a day in the valley, you should stay in Diskit and explore Turtuk<\/a><\/strong> and Panamik from there. If you want to experience the Baltistani culture, then Turtuk is where you should go to.<\/p>\n

Panamik and Hunder can both be covered while on the way but you can choose to stay here as well. If you specifically want to go to Yarab Tso, then you should stay either in Panamik or Sumur.<\/p>\n

Diskit has the highest number of hotels and a great range of accommodation in Nubra Valley.\u00a0 It is the district capital and some of the basic amenities like phone booths, restaurants, and taxi services are better here. There is also a petrol pump in Diskit.<\/p>\n
