This is just a brief post to share some knowledge that I gained today. It is nothing rocket science and I kind of feel a little stupid that I had to Google for this rather than figuring out on my own. But then I thought that it could be confusing for some other people as well and hence the post. If you are on this page, I am guessing that you are got the following Adsense Error Message when you tried to log into your account today.
Adsense Error Message
“We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are unable to process your request at this time. Our engineers have been notified of this problem and will work to resolve it.”
You could not figure out why it was giving you his message and thought to Google it? Well, actually the answer to the question is quite a simple one. You have an AdBlock plug in installed in your web browser or maybe something to block pops ups. Try turning that off for the Google Adsense website and refresh the page. It will work.
I know, it sounds simple now that you know what it is all about but trust me, I was baffled as well initially and tried several tricks like using different browsers, restarted my computer, cleared cookies and all the other stuff but nothing worked. I kept getting stuck on this page. Then I googled for the answer and realized that it was the AdBlock that was blocking the page.
It kind of makes sense as well if you think about it actually. AdBlock is designed to stop any online advertisement which is what AdSense is all about. So the moment it senses the Adsense page, it jumps in action and blocks it.
I hope you did not have to run into circles about it (like I did) and this post was able to provide a simple answer to the problem. You do not have to remove the AdBlock plug in entirely, just deactivate it on Adsense page.
