Review : From reading the technical specification, it sounds like a pretty good deal but it really is not. The biggest drawback of this speaker is that it is incompatible with most of the major sound cards. No matter what sound card you have, you just cannot get it to work right. I tried it with 3 different creative sound cards which are the best reasonably priced sound cards available in Indian market but these speakers did not work with either. The entire 5.1 set-up did not sync with either of the three sound cards. So If you are planning to buy it for your computer, do not make that mistake. It is specifically designed for DVD players.

But that is not all. Even with the DVD players, the sound is not that great. Bass effect is not up to the mark. Excess treble in the output sound. Base is just plain horrible. It lacks sound clarity. Absence of FM is another big drawback which is there nowadays in almost all major speaker systems.

What’s more? Its highly over-priced. You can find much better creative speaker system for almost half the price. It almost comes in range with Sony but is not capable of delivering even one tenth of what Sony speakers can. The product does not have value for money and I would not suggest anyone to buy it, ever.

I am using I ball 2.1 tarang model since 4 years I have not faced any issues till now, on the other hand my brothers 2.1 creative speakers started creating problem after 1 year only.

So I guess it depends on the quality of the piece you got 😀

Valid point. I had a terrible time setting up iBall with my PC and getting the desired result … Creative on the other hand works fine. In my opinion, if iBall is manufacturing speakers and so much of other computer hardware, they need to come up with sound cards of their own, like Creative did.
