Leh Ladakh Bus Service 2024 – 2025 : Latest Schedule

by Vargis.Khan

If you have been thinking about traveling to Ladakh this year, then below is the latest Leh Ladakh Bus Service Schedule for the year 2022. The article below covers information on buses that you can board to get to Leh City and for local sightseeing in Ladakh.

In a time not too long ago, a trip to Ladakh was something that could have been done only by your own vehicle. Other modes of transport back then were rare. These were the times when Leh Ladakh was termed as a biker’s paradise and the people who visited here were mostly either motorcycle enthusiasts or adventure junkies.

Much has however changed in recent years. Tourism in Ladakh has evolved and the number of tourists in this once unknown part of our country has grown exponentially. And along with it, the availability of basic facilities also has largely improved. Now you can easily board a Bus for Ladakh and cover the entire region by public transport services.

Leh Ladakh Bus Service

The picture below was clicked at Leh Bus stand earlier this week by a friend. It shows timings, frequency, and fares of buses starting from Leh for different destinations within Ladakh. If you, however, wanted to read about how to get to Ladakh first, then I have covered this information in three other articles.

Please read Manali to Leh Bus Service to read about how you can travel from Manali to Ladakh by public transport. Please read Srinagar to Leh Bus Service to know how you can complete the same journey from the Srinagar side. If you would rather board a Bus from Delhi itself then you could do that too. Please read Delhi to Leh Bus Service to read how.

There is no direct bus Karamdeep. There is one bus from Leh but its frequency is way too low. The best choice would be to look for shared cabs.

Hey thank you so much for infomative blog. Can you please tell public transportation is working or not, I am not able to find that. As hrtc has resumed its delhi to leh bus service, I want to travel leh Ladakh by public transportation. As I took a break from the my job, I want to pursue my long awaited dream to travel leh ladakh solo. Also, is it safe for a girl to travel solo by public transportation? Or sometimes even a trek (ex. Phuktal/phugtal monastery)

Reply
Vargis.Khan July 8, 2021 - 8:00 am

Hello

1. Public transport – Yes. If not a bus, you can easily get a shared cab
2. Safe to Travel – Yes. Take a look at this article, solo travel log of a girl https://vargiskhan.com/log/memoirs-first-solo-trip-to-ladakh/
3. Safe to trek alone – Can’t really comment on that but my opinion will be of a No. Not in terms of women’s safety but knowledge of the region, area you are covering, altitude acclimatization, several other things come into the picture.

Hi, I am planning to visit leh ladakh in September with my husband. We want to travel by bus daily about maximum 3hr and take stay there for a night. As bus service are not frequently ,so we are confused how to travel, our ways. My question is,
1- how can we travel in circular ways from leh to pangong lake to karzok to moriri to leh back,In bus.
2- suppose leh to pangong takes about 6 hour so where should be taking halt for night, and from pangong to moriri
again one or two halt for night This way taking halt and want to circle till leh back, in bus if possible.
3- what ever place come in between we would like to visit.
4- What is the charge of rental bike per day (gearless will be good for us). If in bus not possible then thinking of bike

I kindly request you to guide me on this so we will not vest our time there
Regards
