Journey So Far: Sightseeing in Lansdowne – A Day of Scenic Beauty all Around

I slept like a baby the entire night and woke up a little late. I think it was because the night before at Hotel Bhagwati Palace was a very uncomfortable one and neither of us got proper sleep. Anyways, we woke up, had some breakfast, and checked out of the hotel at around 10 AM. Now it was time to return home but not before we made a short trip to Tip n Top again.

Lansdowne to Delhi

Not much to write about after this actually. We kind of took the journey slow since we had the entire day to return home. A few hours later we reached Miranpur and this time, rather than going towards Khatauli, I decided to drive via the Meerut route.

I really did this just to explore that side of the route but it was definitely a mistake. First of all, the road from Meerut to Miranpur is in bad condition as compared to the one via Khatauli. Second, and my biggest mistake, was the traffic of Meerut that I completely forgot about. Nonetheless, there were a few scenic spots on this stretch as well.

We finally made it back home a little late in the evening. Lansdowne was not really high on my list of places to visit but that opinion changed after I spent a couple of days here.

If you too are living around Delhi or a place closer; and are looking for a highly scenic and beautiful destination for your next trip then I urge you to consider Lansdowne. It is a quiet and very scenic town and unlike other crowded hill stations; it not yet affected by the tourist mania. Just make sure that you call in advance and book your stay here.
