HTC 10 Lifestyle Review : Worth a Buy

by Vargis.Khan

HTC 10 Lifestyle Review : One of the toughest things these days is to decide which phone to buy. Options are endless. If you go to the market without already a phone in your mind that you want to buy, it would be next to impossible to narrow down on one there. Pick any brand and they pretty much offer the same features, with a few differences in memory, camera and design. There are some other high end phones as well; prices of which are enough to burn a hole in your pocket but admit it, 90% of the times you will be using that 50k phone for things that even a 10k phone can do. In the end, it all pretty much boils down to which one caught your eye, what your budget is, how badly do you want to show off an expensive phone, and which one someone suggested you was quite good.

A friend of mine recently bought a HTC Lifestyle 10 on my suggestion and this is a short review of how the phone turned out to be. I have been using HTC for a few years now, have been satisfied with the phone and that is why I suggested it to my friend. Let us take a look at some of the specifications for HTC Lifestyle 10.

  • Quad Core, 1.6 GHz
  • Snapdragon 400
  • 3 GB RAM
  • 5.5 inches (13.97 cm)
  • 13 MP Primary Camera
  • 5 MP Front Camera
  • 4G Enabled
  • Voice Calling
  • 32 GB + 2 TB Expandable
  • Dual SIM: Nano + Nano
  • No Fingerprint sensor
  • Gorilla Glass

Performance

This camera was launched back in September 2016 and since then; I believe HTC has already launched a Pro version of it at a much higher price. When it comes to performance however, even this lower version does not disappoint at all. It comes for a price of around Rs. 15,000 and is worth the money. There are no lags, no hanging problem and the phone works fine even when using multiple applications. There is however a very slight heating problem at the time of playing heavy games or using the camera. It does not however heat up at all while taking calls, no matter how long the call lasted.

Design

It is definitely a stylish and a good looking phone. My friend bought it in white color and it looks neat. Build quality too is decent enough and it can stand short height falls without any damage. Weight is OK, neither too heavy, nor too light.

Battery

It sports a 3000mAH battery which can go easily past an entire day without needing a recharge. Recharging however is just average, it takes a little time to charge up in full.

Display

It has a 720p display which is kind of disappointing considering that several other phone in same price range offering Full HD. It won’t affect an average user in any way but if you are a hardcore gamer, you are best off not buying this phone.

Camera

It features a 13MP rear camera which is capable of taking decent enough shots. However do not expect any stunning pictures, especially in low light. The image quality is just about average.

Interface

Very easy to use and you will have no trouble getting used to it. The UI is quite easy to understand and navigate.

Connectivity

This phone only takes nano sim cards and is 4G supported.

Sound

Sound quality is quite good. HTC’s Boom sound comes in effect here and the phone is loud enough. HTC changed the earphones styles with this camera. Earlier they used to give those old style ear phones which will hurt your ears but with this phone, the ear plugs are quite comfortable enough. Music quality is good too and you will have no complains listening to your favorite songs.

Final Verdict

In the end, I would say it is a good enough phone for its price range. If you are an average user, need a phone that looks good and comes with good memory that you can save your music and videos on, HTC Lifestyle 10 is definitely the phone for you.

I hope this information was helpful. If you have nay further questions, please feel free to ask in the comments section below and I would be glad to answer.
