Breathe Prime Original Review : A Great Watch Indeed

by Vargis.Khan

I just finished watching this show called Breathe on Amazon’s prime video and I must say that what an experience it was. Superb is the word that I would use for it. Once you start watching, there is no stopping you really. One after another you will watch episode by episode until you have seen it all. That is exactly what I did. I was glued to my TV screen until the end credits of final episode started to roll.

It is rare that you get to watch something like this on Indian TV which is mostly dominated by either “Saas Bahu ki Nautanki” or other ridiculous nonsense family dramas. But a change has slowly started to trend in; if not online then at least on the web. Shows like Sacred Games, Ghoul, Mirzapur attest to it. Breathe too is no exception to this theory. It has brought every ingredient you want for perfect masterpiece thriller web series. Give it a try and trust me, you will not be disappointed.

Breathe Prime Original Review

It is the story of two fathers. One is a policeman who is finding it hard to stop blaming himself for the death of his daughter.  He remains drunk most of the time; his marriage is in ruins and he is finding it hard to keep it straight anymore. Second one is  a father who is finding it hard to keep his son alive anymore. The child is terminally ill with only a few months left to live. His only hope is an organ transplant but is currently at #4 on the waiting list. So what does the father do? He finds out who the organ donors are and he starts to kill them one by one; so that his son would move up the list and get an organ well in time.

What follows is a fun to watch thriller as one father kills people trying to save his son; while the other being a copy tries to catch him while coming out of his daughter’s death.

The performances of R Madhavan and Amit Sadh are excellent in every episode. characters are realistic, story build up is good and the pace is just right. The way each and every episode is plotted is quite neat. There are a lot of edge of the seat thrills from start to finish. Overall, it is a refreshing and somewhat different concept than what you get to see on Indian TV and even in Cinema. The ending of the show is predictable but that works in its favor because if you can guess it, then it means it is realistic.

Conclusion

My final verdict would be that it is a great show and a must watch. It is a Prime Original  so you can only watch it on Amazon’s Prime Video. If you have the membership then give it a try. Trust me you will not be disappointed. Even if you do not find it too great, I can guarantee that you will at least not be bored with it.

For the people who rated this series with 8+ ratings…. guys are you mad??? What you like in this series? Is there any logic.. being an Indian with extra emotional heart’, we can like the villeins also like Sunjay Dutt in Sanju or Ganesh Gaitonde in sacred games. Because the way the directors show them to us. But Mayank I bet you that if I have money to make series then I will make a lot of Better product than you. See the below points which may improve you for the next series. 1. How some one can be so emotional towards his son so that he can kill the innocent people even they are too young to die? 2. Being a viewer I was expecting early death of his son so atleast he will stop killing innocent people. Therefore if no one in series is getting sympathy then who is the hero here. 3. Except the toilet and elevators everywhere we can see the cameras..then why the f… Police can’t found him? 4. I have 7th storage building and equipped with cameras then why police have not checked the footage of building of senior person who was his first attempt? 5. Why police are not checking his laptop to check his search details? 6. Why the lady doctor is not report to police once she realised that R Madhav was admitted with fake name in hospital? 7. Why police not checked his bag at Wearhouse?

Mayank…..you are the hell imagination. Because of you people lot of talented directors are not getting chance to show their skills. Please take a break and review your series. You messed up my 6 to 7 hours. Prime please don’t compare yourself with Netflix…
Summary: Mayank do some other job which suits to your uncreative mind
